Resources for Families

This page is intended to provide information and links to assist families who have children committed to the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice (IDJJ) by the Illinois courts. We are here to be a partner with you in the process of your child's treatment and rehabilitation. We ask that you encourage your child to participate in treatment, education, programs, and other opportunities. We encourage you to maintain frequent contact with your child and become active and involved in decisions related to all aspects of their well-being while with IDJJ.

IDJJ continues to explore new ways for families to be involved with their children. Please contact IDJJ facilities to speak to assigned Youth and Family Specialists and therapists to learn more about the opportunities to participate.
